Even though Milan Kundera spent most of his life in France with his wife Věra, he was a Brno native, a Moravian at heart. It was here that he began his literary journey around the world with his first novel, The Joke, which is set in a Moravian setting. That is why we commemorate Kundera with this work.

 

The manuscript of the first novel as a symbol of the beginning of a professional career and the beginning of the path to immortality (oblivion).

 

Leaves fluttering in the wind as a symbol of energy, the creative process, the journey and the lightness of being.

 

A tombstone as a symbol of the presence of a deceased person and their reflection in the memory of the living.
